ABOUT VIKING PUMP
A pump engineer named Jens Nielsen and his three partners founded Viking Pump in 1911 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. In their first year, they manufactured fifty pumps. After decades of growth and handful of ownership changes, Viking Pump was acquired by IDEX in 1989 and remains part of its Fluid and Metering Division. IDEX is a global leader in positive displacement pumps, color formulation equipment, fire truck pumps and rescue tools, and stainless-steel banding and clamping devices.
Viking offers industrial gear pumps for light, medium, and heavy-duty applications with their relatively simple design and consistent flow rates. Applications include military, food & beverage, chemical, fuel, plastics, and more. The universal product categories of Viking pumps include cast iron styles, such as 1124A Series, 1224A Series, 124A Series, and so on. Similarly, the stainless steel includes 1127A Series, 1227A Series, 127A Series, and many more.
