ABOUT LINK BELT

Link-Belt’s history dates back to the late 1800s with the creation of a detachable link for a chain belt, the company’s namesake. After a century of innovation and expansion, Link-Belt became a leading supplier of construction equipment, namely in the crane-shovel market. Link-Belt Constructin Equipment Company was formed in 1986 as a joint venture between Sumitomo Heavy Industries and FMC Corporation, with whom Link-Belt had merged in 1967. In 1998, Link-Belt’s excavator product line was separated from the crane division and named LBX (Link-Belt Excavators) Company. Link-Belt Cranes continues to operate today, manufacturing a variety of cranes including: rough terrain, telescopic truck, truck terrain, all terrain, lattice crawler, and telescopic crawler cranes.
