ABOUT GARDNER DENVER

Founded in 1905 in Norwalk, Virginia, the Nash Engineering Company started as a manufacturer of liquid ring vacuum pumps. Nash developed vacuum steam heating systems and vacuum sewage collection systems for many growing cities in the United States. In the mid-1900s, Nash’s capabilities expanded to include paper, power, petrochemical, general industrial, and food markets. In the latter half of the 20th century, Nash’s capabilities and product line would continue to expand, with a focus on efficiency, serviceability, and quality.

Siemens created elmo Vacuum Technology as a spinoff of their liquid ring pumps & compressor business in 2000. In 2002, nash_elmo was established when Nash Engineering merged with elmo Vacuum Technology, which created the largest manufacturer of liquid ring pumps & compressors in the world. Gardner Denver would acquire nash_elmo and create the Gardner Denver Nash Division. In 2020, Gardner Denver Nash merged with Ingersoll Rand Industrial Segment to create a global leader in mission-critical flow creation and industrial technologies.
