ABOUT COMMERCIAL INTERTECH

Commercial Shearing began in 1920 in Youngstown, Ohio as Commercial Shearing & Stamping. Seven years later, they would acquire Hoist Body and the patent for the 3 Way Dump, allowing a truck to dump its bed behind the truck or on either side. Commercial would go on to produce fabricated steel parts and hydraulic components in the coming years before expanding to Europe, Asia, and Australia in the 1960s.

Commercial would continue to expand, acquiring Oildyne in the early 1980s and introducing 300 series bushing gear pumps. In 1988, Commercial Shearing became Commercial Intertech Corp. After further expansion and additional product launches, Commercial Intertech would be acquired by Parker Hannifin in 2000 and integrated into their Gear Pump Division.
